MY LAST JAPANESE CLASS
We need to make presentation about the culture of Japan. So, my group present about Japanese Traditional Games.
Japan has many traditional games that have been passed down through the generation.
Rules and materials may change over time.But, even today Japanese children know of playing from older.
We choose this topic because we want to explore and learn the various types of traditional Japanese games, curiosity in specialty of traditional Japanese games that bring their name all around the world and define the similarities and differences between traditional Japanese games and traditional Malaysian games.
We choose 3 traditional games:
KARUTA
-Name of set of cards used a card matching
game.
-Many types of Karuta
eg:
Iroha
Karuta,
Ogura
Hyakunin-isshu
Karuta
-Iroha Karuta played by children to learn Hiragana.
-Two sets – Reading card (Yomi-fuda)
– Tori-fuda
(playing card)
OTEDAMA
-A traditional Japanese children's game.
Small bean bags are tossed and juggled in a game similar to jacks.
-It is rarely competitive and often
accompanied by singing.
-Otedama reveals
more about the culture of the islands as a whole.
-It was madly popular among girls and
knowledge of the game was passed down from grandmother to granddaughter
SHOGI
-Traditional chess of Japan
-Mostly played by all ages especially the olders
-Mind games
-Ones of the games in world tournament
-Uniques:

-All
pieces can gain new papers
-Can
choose to place one of the pieces back to play
